Really enjoyed Dark Parties. Only detraction was massive overuse of word 'scoots' for every movement.

Sara,
Wow! I just finished Dark Parties in two settings! Anita loaned it to me, but I'm getting my own copy and one for my school's library. I'm glad to see you have more in the works...you better! I want
to know more of what happens to these characters. I now have a new favorite YA author!

Hi Sara! You probably don't remember me, but we went to school together in 8th, 9th and part of 10th grades in Washington. I was good friends with Susan Hardy. I live overseas now, in Vienna,
Austria.
I saw a photo taken at your workshop in Washington Saturday on FB. Congrats on your new novel! That's really wonderful and sounds like a very timely theme!
Just wanted to pass along a tip-- I used to be the assistant director of Y-Press (formerly Children's Express) news organization in Indy, working with kids to conduct interviews and write articles
for the Star and syndicated throughout the US and abroad. One of my main tasks there was working with kids on writing book reviews. I think your book would be something they might like to review.
Maybe you could send them a copy of your book? I can certainly pass on the info to the director if you like.
I wish you all the best for your book!
Suzanne
PS: Let me know if you're ever in the Vienna area! :)

Congratulations on writing such a wonderful book! It was exciting, thrilling, romantic, heartwarming, and easily a story that needs a sequel! I always shop young adult books (even though I was one
years ago!) because they seem to have the best stories and authors! Can't wait for the sequel! Congratulations again, thank you for a wonderful story, and I hope you have a long and prolific career!

Hi Maryann!
Thanks for posting. I so glad you enjoyed the book. I've a few ideas and planted a few seeds in DARK PARTIES for a sequel, but at this time there are no plans for sequel. I'm working on another book
to be published in fall 2012. It's another dystopian novel.
Dark Parties has three very different covers. They are all quite nice, but the UK cover is gorgeous!!!

Hi Loisii!
I have ideas for a sequel and have planted a few seeds in DARK PARTIES for a follow up, but no plans yet for publication. I am writing another stand-alone dystopian novel -- tentatively titled HALF
LIVES -- which is scheduled for publication in fall 2012.
I was wondering if you would be available for an interview on my blog? All I need is a copy of your book. I would be extremely grateful if we could set this up!
Hi, Sara! Would love to connect with you when the book comes out! I teach high school English and would love to have you Skype in.

Hi Tessy! Glad you enjoyed the book. As a debut novelist, it's overwhelming to have people reading and responding to a book I wrote. Thanks for getting in touch!
I have ideas for a sequel and have planted a few seeds in NEVA for a follow up, but no plans yet for publication.
I am working on another book -- a completely new dystopian novel, which will be published in the fall of 2012.
So stay tuned!
